Meet Our Therapists
No matter what chapter of your life you are in, sometimes it helps to have someone to listen to and help process parts of your story. Together, we will walk through the parts of your story that you need to be heard in order to help you write the next chapter in your life with a feeling of purpose.
Therapists at Purposed Life Counseling accept different insurances on an individual basis. Please see each therapist's bio to see if they accept your insurance. Self-pay and sliding fee scale options are also available to be made to Purposed Life Counseling in the form of cash, debit or credit card. All payments are due the same day that your services are provided.
Kathy Monroe is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been working in the mental health
field for over 20 years. She loves joining people on their journeys to healing in a non-
judgmental, supportive and safe space. She is currently accepting new clients and has
immediate openings. If you are finding yourself in a rough patch and are struggling to find a
solution, she would commit to walking with you and help you face your challenges so that
together you would be able to reach the goal of healing and personal growth. Although she has
worked with every age group in the past, she prefers to work with young adults trying to find
their place in this world, married couples who want a deeper connection, and older adults who are seeking peace and making sense of the life they have lived.
Kathy uses an eclectic approach to therapy, because she believes there is not a one size fits all treatment. She takes her in the process of getting to know your personal story and together, helps collaborate to find ways to best suit your path to healing. Some of the therapy models she uses are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Parenting Through Change, Parent Management Training-Oregon model, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness just to name a few.
She believes the biggest agents of change are perspective and determination. She will bring a new perspective and hopes you will bring the determination!
